TRADING BACKGROUND

A2Zee Models is owned and run by Alistair McLean. I started trading on ebay U.K. in March 2005 and have slowly developed the company. I have had my domain name for over a year and the website has lain dormant with little in it until now June 2007. I have now reached the point where I believe that in many cases that I can and could serve the modelling community better without the restraints of ebay. It is therefore with a lot of effort and some extra help that I am now actively developing this website. Please feel free to pass on any information with regard to the website, wether it is good or bad. I would apprecite any and all comments on the ease or difficulty experienced with the site. From that basis I will endeavour to change and or correct what I am able to.

WHY BUY FROM A2Zee Models ?

I would like all my customers to know that I am a modeller at heart and therefore feel that I am in a good position to have a very good model shop. The customers that have bought from me in ebay will know and my feed back in ebay will give you an idea on the service levels that I do provide. I will be the first to put up my hand and admit that I have made a mistake or an error and will always endeavour to correct it to the best of my ability.

MODELLING CAREER

I have been making models for almost 40 years, I can remember my first Airfix model at the age of 6 or 7, it was a Zero molded in blue plastic in the "BAG". I carried on making models through most of my childhood and into my teenage years. These included all sorts and types such as rubber powered, gliders, line control, radio control and of course plastic. Most of the modelling that I have done and do is of aircraft but I do like cars and bikes as well. At the age of 20 I joined IPMS in South Africa and was a member of that until moving to Scotland in 2000. I really had a good time in IPMS Johannesburg and through many members and friends, made within the club, helped to developed my skills and enjoyment of model making. On coming to Scotland I joined IPMS UK, and used to frequent the club in Edinburgh, but due to family (2 son's playing and training for football) and shop commitments I very rarely make it through to club meeetings. I have also written quite a few articles and reviews for SCALE AIRCRAFT MODELLING in the past few years as well. Over the past two years I have been playing and developing my craft in making masters and doing casting in resin. For this I have my own brand name which is ALLEY CAT, and the first set that I released was for the Tempest in 1/48. I have been selling this set now since November 2005 and it has sold in excess of 150 sets worldwide. The second set has taken longer to be released that being the wingfold for the Gannet in 1/72. I have many other projects that are lined up and these will all appear in good time (so much to do, so little time).

I will probably add to this in time but I do hope that this may encourage you to buy from and support a fellow modeller in business.
